Our Cage-Free FARMHOUSE EGGS® come from cage-free hens fed a wholesome diet of all vegetarian grains and fresh drinking water. FARMHOUSE cage-free hens live in comfortable barns with open spaces for dust bathing, where they can perch and scratch in a protected environment that is free of predators. No hormones* are used with any laying hens. The result is a great-tasting, nutritious brown egg with plump yolks, firm whites and a thick shell.

Why are our eggs brown?
They come from brown hens. Yup, that's all there is to it.
Are your cartons recyclable and what are they made of?
Our eggs come in either polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or biodegradable pulp paper cartons depending where you live. Both PET and pulp paper cartons are made from recycled materials and are 100% recyclable. Specifically, our 24 count packages are made out of 100% recyclable PETE which is also 100% recyclable with #1 PETE in most communities.
