Ingredients

  • 6 Large FARMHOUSE EGGS®
  • 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘥𝘦:
  • 2 slices ginger
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 tsp black tea leaves
  • 1 tsp Sichuan peppercorns
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine
  • 4 cups water

Preparation

  1. Make the marinade by simmering all the ingredients for 10 minutes.
  2. Boil eggs to your liking.
  3. Place the eggs in an ice bath before partially cracking them.
  4. Marinade overnight.
  5. Peel and serve.
