Ingredients
- 6 Large FARMHOUSE EGGS®
- 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘥𝘦:
- 2 slices ginger
- 2 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 tsp black tea leaves
- 1 tsp Sichuan peppercorns
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine
- 4 cups water
Preparation
- Make the marinade by simmering all the ingredients for 10 minutes.
- Boil eggs to your liking.
- Place the eggs in an ice bath before partially cracking them.
- Marinade overnight.
- Peel and serve.
